    Andreas Kolodzey and Catharina Andrasovitz

Andreas is, perhaps, the first Kolodzey listed on records in Stara Lubovna (O'Lublo).  His marriage record to Catharina Andrasovitz in 1811 is the first marriage record for a Kolodzey in the town of Stara Lubovna and it pre-dates any baptism or burial record there. Using the information on Andreas' marriage record, he was born in around 1783 and Catharina was born around 1786.  It is uncertain as to where he came from, but perhaps Andreas was born in nearby Nizne Ruzbachy and moved to the growing city life in Stara Lubovna prior to meeting his wife, Catharina Andrasovitz.  Catharina was born in Stara Lubovna to her parents  Andreas Andrasovitz and Marjana.

Andreas and Catharina were married on 17 Sep 1811 in Stara Lubovna.  Andreas was 28 and Catharina was 25.  Witnesses for the marriage were Antoni Vrecsenjak (v'ret-chen-yak) and Antoni Andrasovits.  Perhaps Antoni Andrasovits was Andreas' brother or father.

Andreas Kolodzey and Catharina Andrasovitz lived in Stara Lubovna, Slovakia and they had five children: Anna (1815), Andreas (1817), Catharina (1825), Josephus (1827), and Joannes (1829).

The godparents of their children came from the Orlik and Sztreleczky families.

Andreas is listed as a tax-paying, middle-class "burgher" at this website".

    Wedding Record

    Joannes Kolodzey and Maria Tokarszky

Joannes was the youngest son of Andreas Kolodzey and Catharina Andrasovitz, born on 15 May 1829 in Stara Lubovna.  His godparents were  Joannes Orlik and Anna Sztreleczky.

Maria is the daughter of Jacobus Tokarszky (1798) and Anna Rokonal (1809).

Joannes Kolodzey and Maria Tokarszky lived in Stara Lubovna, Slovakia and had three children: Maria, Joannes, and Franciscus.

They were close to the Molesanyi family, as there was at least one godparent at each of their children's baptisms named Molesanyi: Georgius, Anna, and Maria.

Joannes and Maria were married on 20 January 1858.  Joannes was 29 years old and Maria was 23.  At the time of their marriage, Joannes was serving in the Austria-Hungarian Army.

In 1858, the house listed on Maria's baptism was Stara Lubovna No. 336.

In 1861, the house listed on Joannes' baptism was Jarembina No. 221.

In 1871, the house listed on Franciscus' baptism was Vetus (old) Lublo No. 338.

    Jarembina No. 221
